DESIGN WITH COURAGE
"What would life be without the courage of trying something new." This Vincent Van Gogh quote hangs in my office as a daily reminder that exceptional design takes bravery. A huge part of my job is to expose you to new and unexpected options. Things you may not even know exist as possibilities for your home.
You know how much fun it is to take a friend to a restaurant they've never been to, and they go crazy for it? That's the feeling I strive to give to my clients. With courage comes surprise and delight. In this case, a home that takes your breath away every day.
GIVE CONSIDERATION TO THE FUTURE
The majority of my clients are at a point in life where they want to prioritize their comfort and convenience, both now and in the future. If a renovation is going to stand the test of time and support you as you move into your future, it needs to be designed to do so. That requires expert insight and direction right from the start.
And what about family? If you have grandchildren, you want them to be able to enjoy the space just as much as you. With advanced technology in solution-dyed acrylic fabrics, you would never know these gorgeous white sofas are worry-free!

CURATE WITH INTENTION
As a former art gallery owner, curation comes naturally. My interior design approach is like putting a puzzle together. I start with the "frame" which is typically the floor plan, then use an inspiration piece (like a painting, area rug, gorgeous fabric, or unusual piece of furniture) as the focal point, and build out from there.
Every decision is deliberate. It might be called the Sutherland Style Method, but it's all about finding your style and giving it an exquisite edge. If you want a visual showstopper that's still a comfort to live in, I'm your designer.

KIND WORDS
"I would hire Lisa again in a heartbeat. She displays a genuine quality of listening to her clients and plans according to their lifestyles. Lisa has a special talent in "pulling things together" and will work on details until they are right. She is in tune to all the most recent designs and it shows in her work."
